Description
Description
The Standard 4 Tonne 2-Post Vehicle Lift provides access beneath a car for servicing, repairs, oil changes and tyre work. Its two-post design lifts the vehicle at its designated lifting points, leaving the wheels and underside accessible.
A 4,000kg maximum lifting capacity and lifting height of up to 1,900mm make it a practical choice for workshop maintenance. Swinging telescopic arms allow the lifting pads to be positioned to suit the vehicle, while adjustable rubber pads help protect the contact points. The minimum lifting height is 100mm.
Hydraulic lifting with mechanical safety locks
A hydraulic cylinder in each post drives the lifting carriage through a chain mechanism. Two steel synchronising cables keep the carriages coordinated during lifting. Mechanical safety locks on both carriages engage as the lift rises, with chain-break protection provided on each side.
Raise the lift using the motor start button. To lower it, release both mechanical safety locks manually and operate the lowering valve on the power unit. The lift must be supported on its mechanical locks before work begins beneath the vehicle.
Baseplate layout
This standard model uses a floor-level baseplate connection between the posts. Allow for the raised cover when planning the workshop bay and moving equipment across the floor.

Installation
Designed for lifting cars. Vehicle weight, lifting-point positions and arm reach must all be suitable for the lift; the capacity alone does not establish compatibility. The manual excludes caravans, buses, lorries, trucks and special-purpose vehicles.
Installation requires a level, sound concrete foundation, correctly fitted anchors and a suitable electrical supply. The manual specifies a workshop height of at least 3.8m. Follow its foundation and installation requirements, and have the installation and commissioning carried out by competent personnel.
